Palmer Jr.'s Performance Leads Team to 2-0 Start
WESTCHESTER, N.Y. (December 1, 2023) - Los Angeles Clippers guard James Palmer Jr. tied his season high with 26 points in a 122-120 win over the Westchester Knicks on Thursday night.
Palmer Jr. shot 9-of-17 from the field, including 3-of-6 from three-point range, and added four rebounds and two assists. He also played a key role on defense, holding Westchester's top scorer, Jalen Crutcher, to just 14 points on 5-of-14 shooting.
The Clippers improved to 2-0 with the win, while the Knicks fell to 1-1. Palmer Jr. is averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists through the first two games of the season.
Palmer Jr.'s performance was a continuation of his strong preseason, in which he averaged 14.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in four games. The 27-year-old is looking to prove himself as a reliable option in the Clippers' rotation this season.
